Job summary

Vortex Doors in Houston, TX seeks a Temporary Customer Service Representative to be the first point of contact for customers, handling inquiries by phone and email and delivering exceptional service in a fast-paced office environment.

You will coordinate service dispatches, document interactions, and build product knowledge to resolve issues quickly while maintaining accurate records. Prior CS experience and strong communication are preferred; this is a temporary, in-office role.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; AA/BA preferred.
• 1–3 years of customer service experience, or administrative background.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

Responsibilities

• Customer Interaction: Interact with customers via phone and email in a professional and courteous manner, addressing inquiries, providing information, and offering service assistance.
• Problem-Solving: Identify and analyze customer needs, providing creative solutions when necessary, scheduling the appropriate services, and escalating complex issues to the appropriate management team member.
• Documentation: Maintain detailed and accurate records of customer interactions, inquiries, and resolutions in our customer management system.
• Dispatching: Efficiently dispatch vehicles and coordinated personnel to meet customer requests, considering factors like location, urgency, and availability and routed to customer sites.
• Product Knowledge: Develop an understanding of our products and door services to provide accurate information to customers.

• Regular shifts are available between Vortex business hours of 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM; Monday through Friday.
• Position requires you to be available to work in the office at the service center, not remotely
• Work is performed in an office environment and requires the ability to operate standard office equipment and keyboards.
• Must have the ability to walk short distances and sit for prolonged periods of time.
• Noise level is moderate in an office environment.
• Must be able to lift up to 15lbs.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; AA/BA preferred.
• One (1) – three (3) years of customer service experience, or administrative background preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
