Job summary

Amity Foundation invites applications for Counselor II/III to support the Integrated Substance Use Disorder Treatment Program (ISUDTP). The role emphasizes delivering rehabilitative services, facilitating CBI sessions, and documenting progress in ARMS within a corrections-based setting.

Counselor II requires AOD certification; Counselor III requires certification plus one year of full-time experience. Position is temporary and focused on community reintegration and training opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Deliver face-to-face rehabilitative programming in ISUDTP.
• Facilitate CBI classes using standardized curriculum.

• Evaluate and document progress of participants.
• Document delivery of CBI services in ARMS.
• Engage participants daily and reinforce group norms.
• Collaborate with CDCR/CCHCS HQ, local institutions, and contracted staff.

About the Position:

The Counselor II/III (ISUDT) The Counselor III is responsible for the delivery of face-to-face rehabilitative programming services provided in the Integrated Substance Use Disorder Treatment Program (ISUDTP).

• Facilitate CBI classes, using evidence-based and standardized curriculum to the participants.
• Conduct class and facilitate individual sessions to develop release prevention/action plans and/or provide make-up work.
• Evaluate and document the progress of participants assigned to their classes.
• Document delivery of CBI programming services in ARMS.
• Engage participants daily and reinforce group norms and expectations for participations and completion.
• Work collaboratively with the CDCR/CCHCS headquarters, local institution, and CDCR contracted staff and

Education and Experience:

Required:

• Counselor II: Certified as an AOD Counselor.
• Counselor III: Certified as an AOD Counselor, with one (1) year of full- time experience providing certified AOD counseling services.
