Job summary

Amity Foundation is seeking compassionate individuals to teach and train within our prison and re-entry programs, serving as Counselor II/III in the Integrated Substance Use Disorder Treatment Program (ISUDTP). You will deliver rehabilitative services and collaborate with CDCR staff to support participant progress and transition into the community.

The role emphasizes counseling certs, program fidelity, documentation in ARMS, and daily engagement with participants to reinforce norms and goals,

Qualifications

• Counselor II: Certified as an AOD Counselor.
• Counselor III: Certified as an AOD Counselor, with one year of full-time experience providing certified AOD counseling services.

Responsibilities

• Deliver face-to-face rehabilitative programming in ISUDTP.
• Facilitate CBI classes using evidence-based and standardized curriculum.
• Conduct class and individual sessions to develop release prevention/action plans and/or provide make-up work.
• Evaluate and document the progress of participants assigned to their classes.
• Document delivery of CBI programming services in ARMS.
• Engage participants daily and reinforce group norms and expectations for participation and completion.
• Work collaboratively with the CDCR/CCHCS headquarters, local institution, and CDCR contracted staff.
• Other related duties as assigned.

About the Position:
