Job summary

Amity Foundation in California seeks compassionate counselors (Counselor II/III) to deliver ISUDTP-based rehabilitative services within a prison and re-entry setting. You will teach, assess, and document progress, using evidence-based curricula while coordinating with CDCR and staff.

Certified AOD counselors with one year of full-time experience for Counselor III are preferred. Positions are on-site with hourly pay and potential stressors of working inside a state prison.

Qualifications

• Certified AOD Counselor required (Counselor II) or (Counselor III) with 1 year full-time AOD counseling experience.
• Experience facilitating evidence-based curricula and class sessions.
• Ability to document progress and maintain records in ARMS.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate CBI classes using standardized curriculum.
• Lead individual sessions to develop release prevention/action plans.
• Evaluate and document participant progress.
• Document delivery of CBI programming services in ARMS.
• Engage participants daily and reinforce group norms.
• Collaborate with CDCR/CCHCS headquarters and local staff.

About the Position:

The Counselor II/III (ISUDT) The Counselor III is responsible for the delivery of face-to-face rehabilitative programming services provided in the Integrated Substance Use Disorder Treatment Program (ISUDTP).

What You Will Do:

• Facilitate CBI classes, using evidence-based and standardized curriculum to the participants.
• Conduct class and facilitate individual sessions to develop release prevention/action plans and/or provide make-up work.
• Evaluate and document the progress of participants assigned to their classes.
• Document delivery of CBI programming services in ARMS.
• Engage participants daily and reinforce group norms and expectations for participations and completion.
• Work collaboratively with the CDCR/CCHCS headquarters, local institution, and CDCR contracted staff and

• Counselor II: Certified as an AOD Counselor.
• Counselor III: Certified as an AOD Counselor, with one (1) year of full- time experience providing certified AOD counseling services.
