Job summary

SpaceX seeks a Construction Technician - Temporary at Starbase, TX to build, maintain and improve site infrastructure and civil facilities. duties include framing walls, floors, and platforms, operating heavy equipment, and following safety guidelines.

The three-month assignment requires a high school diploma and 1+ years in construction. Flexibility for day or night shifts, overtime, and weekend work is expected, with ITAR requirements applicable to U.S. personnel.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency certificate.
• 1+ years of commercial, industrial, or civil construction experience or certificate of completion from an accredited technical program within the last 2 years.

Responsibilities

• Frame walls, floors, stairs, platforms, concrete forms, and other industrial structures
• Construct and support various MEP projects
• Use equipment to perform earthwork, demolition, site clearing, and cleanup
• Use hand and measurement tools and manual equipment (saws, squares, shovels, etc.)
• Support site civil and outdoor infrastructure projects
• Layout, installation, repair, finishing, and maintenance of structures, fixtures, and buildings
• Basic concrete work and repair on slabs, pads, curbs, and site walkways
• Operate forklifts, boom lifts, and other heavy equipment
• Adhere to proper safety guidelines at all times
• Keep tools, materials, and equipment in working condition
• Advise in the selection of building materials; requisition building materials and supplies
• Transport various heavy materials in vehicles
