A Chicago law firm is seeking a commercial real estate attorney for a temporary hourly engagement to support active transactions from contract through closing. Strong title and survey experience is essential and you can step in quickly, work independently, and keep deals on schedule.

This downtown Chicago role is in-office and focuses on real estate transactions, closing documents, and coordination with lenders, title companies, and opposing counsel.

Qualifications

• Licensed attorney in good standing.
• Substantial commercial real estate transaction experience with title and survey review.

Responsibilities

• Review title commitments and surveys and resolve exceptions.
• Support commercial purchase and financing transactions from contract through closing.
• Prepare closing documents and settlement statements.
• Coordinate closing logistics with clients, lenders, brokers, title companies and opposing counsel.
• Oversee recording and filing of real estate documents and UCC filings.
• Serve as a point of contact for transaction status.
