Job summary

CBRE, Government & Defense Services is seeking a Commercial Cleaner in the United States (Texas) to perform basic cleaning tasks such as mopping, sweeping, and trash disposal. The role includes stocking bathrooms, cleaning surfaces, and maintaining safety in the workplace.

Responsibilities include supporting daily cleaning in high-traffic areas, operating cleaning procedures, and attending trainings. The position is described as temporary with a minimum pay rate of $16.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with up to 2 years of job-related experience.
• Capability to perform physically demanding tasks, including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs, lifting up to 50 lbs. and moving furniture.
• Ability to communicate and follow basic work routines.
• Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily cleaning support to high-traffic areas of the building designated by the supervisor.
• Stock bathrooms with toilet paper, paper towels, Kleenex, and soap.
• Sweep, vacuum, wipe, and mop storage units, hallways, restrooms, elevators, etc.
• Dust furniture, walls, and equipment including moving and rearranging furniture.
• Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors using cleaners, sponges, and squeegees.
• Ensure cleaning supplies are in a safe, secure area at all times.
• Complete standardized cleaning process as per company standards.
• Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment.
• Attend all regular staff meetings and required in-service training sessions.
• Follow basic work routines and standards in the application of work.
• Use existing procedures to solve straightforward problems with limited discretion.
