Job summary

The Oklahoma State Department of Health is seeking a Child Development Specialist I, II, or III for a temporary, part-time role across several districts. The position offers hourly pay up to $31.25 depending on education and experience, with schedule Monday–Friday and up to 19 hours per week.

Responsibilities include providing developmental services to children and coaching families in home or childcare settings, collaborating with an interdisciplinary team, and maintaining confidential records

Qualifications

• Job family consists of four levels distinguished by the complexity of assignments, responsibility, and expertise.
• Level I is the basic entry level of the job family.
• Levels II and III increase with education, experience and scope.

Responsibilities

• Provides early intervention services in the child and family’s natural environment (home, childcare, park).
• Educates parents and professionals in child development using dedicated materials and curricula.
• Conducts intakes, interviews, and assessments to recommend services.
• Collaborates with families to set goals and develop intervention plans.
• Maintains confidential records in compliance with regulations.
