Job summary

Oklahoma State Department of Health is seeking a temporary Child Development Specialist I, II, or III to provide individualized services to enhance the developmental potential of young children. Services are delivered in the child’s natural environment, such as home or childcare settings, and include screenings, evaluations, and family education.

Positions require Master’s degrees in relevant fields, with Level II/III requiring additional experience or certifications.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in child development or related field with relevant coursework.
• Two years of post-master’s degree experience for Level II.
• Three years of post-master’s degree experience for Level III; CCPS certification within one year.

Responsibilities

• Provides early intervention services in child and family’s natural environment.
• Educates parents and professionals in child development.
• Develops and implements Individualized Family Service Plans.
• Collaborates with families and caregivers to identify goals and strategies.
• Maintains confidential records in compliance with regulations.
