Barnes & Noble College is seeking a Campus Store Team Member (Temporary) to support peak periods with friendly service, stock replenishment, and smooth checkout. You will help students, faculty, and staff find materials, operate the POS, and keep the floor inviting.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years of age (minimum age in California locations is 18).
• Previous retail or customer service experience preferred.
• Passion for delivering exceptional customer service and creating a positive shopping experience.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Basic math, keyboarding, and data entry skills.
• Ability to multitask and adapt to changing business needs in a fast-paced retail environment.
• Dependable, self-motivated, and able to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule throughout the temporary assignment based on business needs.

Responsibilities

• Deliver an exceptional customer experience by greeting customers and providing knowledgeable service.
• Assist customers in locating materials and merchandise that best meet their needs.
• Operate the POS system to accurately process transactions.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked sales floor.
• Support daily store operations by assisting with inventory, receiving merchandise, order fulfillment, and other operational tasks.
• Develop product knowledge by staying informed about merchandise, promotions, store services, and course materials.
• Work collaboratively with teammates to accomplish daily priorities while adapting to changing business needs in a fast-paced retail environment.
• Contribute to a clean, safe, and organized store environment that reflects the Barnes & Noble College brand and delivers an exceptional customer experience.
