Job summary

The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill is seeking a Temporary Security Guard to support UNC facilities. The position offers 25 hours per week with a temporary contract expected to last 6 months or longer.

Uniforms provided; applicants must have a NC driver's license where required and pass grooming standards. Duties include patrols, securing doors, reporting damage, assisting staff and visitors, and logging activities.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Some roles may require a valid NC driver’s license.
• Experience in security or related field is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform security patrols on foot or by vehicle and secure facilities.
• Lock/unlock doors and monitor access; report damages.
• Assist staff, visitors, and handle requests; document incidents.
