Job summary

Cuesta College is recruiting for short-term Program Support Assistant positions to support the Basic Needs Center and Food Pantry. Two roles will cover both campus locations to ensure consistent service delivery and access for students, with evening hours possible.

Under supervision, you will assist with events, outreach, and administrative tasks, helping keep programs organized and accessible. Ideal candidates have a high school diploma and experience in student services or customer service in

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalency required.
• Preferred experience in programs, events, or customer service in education or community settings.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and assist students, staff and visitors on front-line.
• Serve as liaison to connect students with support services.
• Maintain regular contact with students via in-person, virtual, and email communication.
• Help ensure programs are accessible, inclusive, and student-centered.
• Provide general operational support for day-to-day activities.
• Track participation and compile basic program data in databases/spreadsheets.
• Coordinate and set up events, workshops, and activities.
• Distribute materials and share program information for outreach.
• Perform data entry, filing and document preparation.
• Maintain organized materials, supplies and shared spaces.
• Demonstrate sensitivity to diverse backgrounds.
