Reed Smith LLP in Miami, FL is seeking a billing clerk to manage monthly client billing and account maintenance in a paperless 3E workflow. You will generate, proof, and submit invoices to clients, update matter information, and assist attorneys and secretaries with billing inquiries.
The role requires strong Excel skills, experience with Elite/3E or similar systems, and excellent communication. You will work in-office at least four days a week, with a focus on accuracy and customer service.
This position is responsible for client billing and client account maintenance.

Education: Associate Degree in Accounting or equivalent work experience preferred.
Experience: Prior experience with billing or other accounting function preferred. Experience with Elite/ 3E or other accounting/billing system preferred. Experience in a law firm or other professional service environment a plus. Mathematical aptitude and ability to organize/prioritize multiple assignments, work independently on various projects, and meet deadlines. Knowledge of MS Excel and Elite/3E accounting software. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work with individuals at all organizational levels. Possess a customer focus and have a track record of providing the highest level of customer service. Able to organize and prioritize issues and workload.

Must be able to work independently and display a professional manner at all times. Strong attention to detail. Ability to communicate and interact effectively with all organizational levels. Ability to meet weekly and monthly deadlines along with the ability to handle daily requests. Ability to handle multiple tasks on a daily basis and complete assignments within set timelines. Exceptional organizational and time management skills. Must have keen problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities and solutions-oriented thinking.

Equipment used: Personal computer and other office equipment such as telephone, calculator, copier, scanner, etc.
You will be required to work in the office at minimum 4 days per week. Occasionally called upon to work hours in excess of your normal daily schedule. The details of your weekly schedule will be discussed further with your direct supervisor.
This is a non-exempt position. The hourly wage range for this role is $25.48 to $32.96, with an estimated annual compensation range of $53,000 to $64,000, based on expected hours. This represents the presently anticipated pay range for this position. Actual pay may vary based on various factors, including but not limited to location and experience.
Pittsburgh/Denver/Atlanta/Dallas/Houston – $25.48 – $27.40 per hour (approximately $53,000 – $57,000 annually based on expected hours)
Miami – $27.17 – $29.23 per hour (approximately $53,000 – $57,000 annually based on expected hours)
Philadelphia – $27.40 – $28.84 per hour (approximately $57,000 – $60,000 annually based on expected hours)
Chicago – $31.31 – $32.96 per hour (approximately $57,000 – $60,000 annually based on expected hours)
Princeton/Washington, DC – $29.32 – $30.76 per hour (approximately $61,000 – $64,000 annually based on expected hours)
