Job summary

Winchester City Council is seeking a dynamic Temporary Accommodation Officer to join the team. You will manage day-to-day housing for homeless households and support residents to become tenancy ready, in a fast-paced environment.

The role involves visiting residents at units across the district and conducting health and safety visits, with travel required. Previous housing sector experience with vulnerable households is desirable and a can-do attitude is essential.

Temporary Accommodation Officer (ref:791)

The Temporary Accommodation team are looking for a dynamic individual who thrives in a fast-paced reactive role, has customer service at the heart of what they do and a “can do” attitude!

You will be required to work as part of the Temporary Accommodation team to provide day to day housing management of the Council’s temporary accommodation for homeless households. You will also be required to provide low level support to ensure residents are tenancy ready to access move on / independent living opportunities.

The Temporary Accommodation team are based in offices just outside the vibrant city centre of Winchester. You will need to meet the travel requirements of the role as you will visit residents in our units of temporary accommodation across the district, as well as conducting health and safety visits at our schemes.
