Qualifications

• Two to four years of experience in grounds maintenance, horticulture, gardening, agriculture, landscape design, or related field.
• Knowledge of various plants and fertilizers.
• Ability to follow directions, work independently and with a team.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Mow lawns with hand and power mowers and maintain landscapes as per plan.
• Prune and shape shrubs and trees for optimum growth and beauty of grounds.
• Apply fertilizer, pesticides, and irrigation practices in compliance with laws.
• Ensure power equipment is maintained and safe to operate.
• Guide volunteers in grounds maintenance and project tasks.
• Water lawn and garden areas and perform other duties as assigned.
