Job summary

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints seeks a Gardener 2 (Part time) for the Logan UT Temple. You will care for temple grounds, keeping them beautiful, clean, and in reverent condition.

Responsibilities include mowing, pruning, weed and pest control, irrigation, and guiding volunteers. You will follow landscape plans and safety standards. This is a part-time, on-site role in Logan, Utah.

Qualifications

• Two to four years of experience in grounds maintenance, horticulture, gardening, agriculture, landscape design, or related field.
• Knowledge of various plants and fertilizers.
• Ability to follow directions, work independently and with a team.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Mow lawns using hand and power mowers; maintain landscape plan with perennials, shrubs, trees.
• Prune and shape shrubs and trees to enhance growth and beauty.
• Spray lawns, shrubs, and trees for disease, weed, and insect control; fertilize as needed.
• Maintain power equipment; ensure proper maintenance.
• Provide guidance to volunteers in grounds maintenance.
• Water lawn and garden areas.
• Other duties as assigned.
