Job summary

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is seeking a Temple Facilities Manager 2 in Fort Bend TX to lead the temple facilities team and oversee maintenance, safety and project work for the temple complex and related buildings.

You will coordinate with HR, supervise staff, manage budgets, and ensure compliance with standards while maintaining a sacred, functional environment for temple operations.

Qualifications

• Four-year degree in facilities management, building industry, project management or a related field.
• Six years of experience in the facilities management industry.
• Broad understanding of facilities systems and processes (boiler/chiller servicing, electrical, AV, plumbing).
• Excellent verbal and written communication and computer literacy.
• Ability to speak and write in English.
• Professional appearance and demeanor.
• There may be physical requirements including lifting up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Regularly manage the work of other employees (may include mixed workforce).
• Hire or fire employees and manage advancement decisions in partnership with HR.
• Typically manages 10-20 employees with supervisors reporting to them.
• Maintain the temple and ancillary buildings about 70k square feet.
• Maintain standards during peak usage and closures.
• Manage stakeholder expectations (3-4 key stakeholders).
• Provide on-site and remote training, coaching and mentoring to staff.
• Implement temple maintenance guides and test improved methods, systems and equipment.
• Oversee complex annual plans including costs, maintenance and repairs of electrical, mechanical, AV and computer systems.
• Manage department labor costs and third-party relationships.
• Complete close-out procedures for projects including drawings, archiving, warranty and letters of recommendation.
• Communicate with Temple President, leaders, local governments, architects and contractors as needed.
• Provide status reports on progress, quality, issues and procurement.
• Monitor project schedules to ensure completion within timelines.
