Job summary

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is seeking a Full-time Clothing Supervisor for the Knoxville Tennessee Temple. This role focuses on leading temple clothing operations, managing staff, and ensuring clean, well-maintained clothing and linen inventory for patrons, workers, and employees.

Responsibilities include supervising staff, onboarding new workers, scheduling, maintaining inventory, and ensuring excellent service while monitoring costs and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Two years of supervisory or related experience.
• Demonstrated leadership abilities.
• Experience in inventory control.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Basic financial background.
• Must be able to lift 30 pounds and perform physically demanding work.

Responsibilities

• Maintains staff of workers (employees and volunteers) by interviewing prospects and making recommendations to Temple Recorder.
• Oversees training of new workers through orientations and pairing with experienced workers.
• Ensures prompt, cheerful service to all patrons through proper scheduling and supervision.
• Supervises staff discipline and morale; monitors performance and maintains time logs.
• Maintains adequate inventory of rental clothing and supplies; initiates stock requisitions.
• Ensures rental clothing is clean and serviceable and maintains quality consciousness among workers.
• Ensures linen/laundry operations break even financially by managing staffing, charges and purchases with Temple Recorder.
• Maintains a pleasing and orderly service area by monitoring appearance and taking corrective action.
