Job summary

The Clothing Clerk at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Baton Rouge maintains a respectful, uplifting temple environment by laundering, mending, and caring for temple clothing and linens. This role typically reports to the Clothing Supervisor and provides guidance to volunteers and service missionaries working in the Temple.

Responsibilities include operating commercial laundry equipment, training volunteers in daily laundry operations, serving patrons with proper clothing

Qualifications

• 1 year of work experience preferably in laundry, retail, customer service etc.

Responsibilities

• Operates commercial laundry equipment; prepares clothing and linens for use within the temple; may include sorting, washing, drying, hanging, pressing, folding, and assembling items.
• Trains service missionaries/volunteers in daily laundry operations; Oversee service missionaries/volunteers in accomplishing and prioritizing laundry operations’ work
• Waits courteously on patrons to provide needed temple clothing in proper sizes; sees that sufficient clothing is on-hand to supply patrons; may oversee clothing rental operations
• Performs daily preventative maintenance on laundry equipment; cleans machinery, filters, vents, screens; may track and maintain daily production records
