Job summary

ABM Industries is hiring a Janitor/Cleaner to maintain a clean, safe temple environment in Louisville. You will perform routine cleaning, sanitize restrooms, manage waste, and keep windows and equipment in good condition.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previousexperience in janitorial, custodial, or general cleaning roles is a plus
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
• Familiarity with cleaning chemicals, equipment, and safety standards
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality

Responsibilities

• Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and polishing floors and surfaces
• Clean and sanitize restrooms, replenish supplies, and ensure hygiene standards are met
• Empty trash and recycling bins and waste in accordance with company policies
• Clean windows, mirrors, and other glass surfaces
• Maintain and store cleaning equipment and supplies properly
• Report any maintenance issues, safety hazards, or supply shortages to the supervisor
• Assist with setup and cleanup for meetings, events, or special projects as needed
• Follow all safety procedures and company protocols related to cleaning and sanitation

Overview

The Janitor/Cleaner is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary environment within assigned buildings and facilities. This role ensures all areas meet company, client, and regulatory cleanliness, safety, and quality standards. The position requires flexibility, attention to detail, and the ability to perform a wide range of cleaning and maintenance tasks as assigned.

Must be a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Temple endowed with a current Temple Recommend.

This position is for custodial services at a temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, only members of the Church who are endowed and have a current temple recommend qualify for employment for this specific position.
