Template Production Engineer, Visual Design

Pay: $85/hour (W-2, eligible for benefits)

40 hours/week

Role Overview

The Content Design team is seeking a Content Production Specialist/Engineer to support the creation of high-quality templates and themes for user software programs like Word Processor. This role combines design sensitivity with technical production expertise to deliver user-ready content.

Responsibilities

1. Build and manage production workflows for templates
2. Collaborate with design and engineering teams to translate concepts into exceptional deliverables
3. Ensure templates meet visual, technical, and accessibility standards
4. Test new designs for quality, localization, and feature compatibility
5. Use GitHub to manage version control and submit updates
6. Investigate and resolve bugs via Radar, working closely with QA and design teams
7. Contribute to tool improvements and support new feature integrations

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in a production or technical design role
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage complex workflows
• Skilled in software word processors or similar; familiar with Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator
• Experience with GitHub, Terminal, and Radar
• Background in software QA and localization preferred
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
