Job summary

Reflexive Concepts, LLC is seeking a skilled Tempest Engineer to join our team in Maryland. You will define TEMPEST testing requirements and evaluate ECP packages to protect TEMPEST integrity.

You will attend technical meetings with crypto device users, provide TEMPEST lab testing of certified devices, and perform TEMPEST field testing to uncover vulnerabilities. You will offer Subject Matter Expert support when TEMPEST vulnerabilities are identified, ensuring compliance with current standards

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or an equivalent technical/scientific discipline.
  • 10+ years of related professional experience
  • Active TS/SCI with Full-Scope Polygraph

Responsibilities

  • Ensure TEMPEST testing requirements are defined by the customer's CTTA.

  • Provide SME support when a TEMPEST vulnerability is identified

Job description

Reflexive Concepts is seeking a skilled Tempest Engineer to join our team!
In this role you will:
  • Ensure that TEMPEST testing requirements are defined by the customer's Certified TEMPEST Technical Authority (CTTA).
  • Evaluate engineering change proposal (ECP) packages to ensure the proposed changes do not impact the TEMPEST integrity of the device, or if necessary, additional TEMPEST testing is performed to recertify the device.
  • Attend technical meetings with crypto device users/customers CSCM's and vendor partners.
  • Provide TEMPEST lab testing of certified cryptographic devices to ensure it meets the current National TEMPEST standard.
  • Perform TEMPEST Field testing of cryptographic equipment to discover vulnerabilities in secure systems.
  • Provide Subject Matter Expert (SME) support when a cryptographic device has a TEMPEST vulnerability.
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or an equivalent technical/scientific discipline
  • 10+ years of related professional experience
  • Active TS/SCI with Full-Scope Polygraph
Desired Qualifications:
  • Military or IC experience in a relevant technical or RF field
  • 10+ years of related professional experience; experience may be substituted with education as follows:
    • High School Diploma + 15 years System Engineering experience
    • Relevant Bachelor's degree in a STEM field + 11 years System Engineering experience
    • Relevant Master's degree in a STEM field + 9 years System Engineering experience
  • Advanced degree may be preferred at this level
  • Certified TEMPEST Professional Level II (CTP-II)
  • 3+ years of experience with TEMPEST testing and/or TEMPEST manufacturing
