Job summary

Provisional Recruiting + Staffing seeks a motivated Transit Planning Assistant to support a local transportation organization on a temporary basis in Spokane, WA. The assignment runs through December 31, 2026, at 20 hours per week with office hours 8 am–4 pm and a flexible schedule.

The position pays $20/hour and may extend into 2027. Your duties include researching data, analyzing information, preparing reports and presentations, and assisting with meetings and community outreach while handling

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in transportation policy and planning, urban planning, public policy, economics, civil engineering, marketing, public health, or a related field.
• Equivalent relevant experience may be considered.
• Familiarity with transit operations is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conduct research, data analysis, and field observations.
• Prepare reports, correspondence, and presentations.
• Assist with meetings and community outreach.
• Manage multiple tasks and competing deadlines.
• Handle sensitive matters with professionalism and discretion.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
