Job summary

ConnectedHealth is seeking an Operating Room Circulator Registered Nurse for a 13-week temp-to-perm assignment in Gallup, NM. The role coordinates patient care, maintains a sterile environment, and supports the surgical team throughout procedures.

You will work with surgeons, anesthesia staff, and scrub techs to ensure equipment readiness, monitor patients, and uphold safety standards. NM RN license, BLS/ACLS, and OR circulator experience are required; BSN and CNOR preferred.

Qualifications

• NM RN license in good standing; compact license acceptable.
• Active BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• Minimum 1 year of recent OR circulator experience.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate patient care as the Circulator RN in the OR.
• Prepare the OR with sterile equipment, instruments and supplies.
• Assist surgical teams while preserving a sterile field.
• Monitor vital signs and report changes during procedures.
• Document care and ensure compliance with hospital safety standards.
• Communicate with surgeons, anesthesia staff and scrub techs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Function as a Circulator RN in the Operating Room, coordinating and delivering patient care throughout the surgical process
• Prepare the OR for procedures by ensuring necessary equipment, instruments, and supplies are available and sterile
• Assist surgical teams during procedures while maintaining a sterile environment
• Monitor patients' vital signs and condition throughout the surgery and report any changes
• Advocate for patient safety, dignity, and comfort
• Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with hospital protocols and safety standards
• Communicate effectively with surgeons, anesthesia staff, scrub techs, and other members of the surgical team

Qualifications:

• Active Registered Nurse license in New Mexico (or compact license)
• AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 1 year of recent OR circulator experience required

Preferred Skills:

• BSN preferred
• CNOR certification a plus

You hold an active NM RN license and BLS/ACLS. You have at least one year recent OR circulator experience. You can coordinate patient care while maintaining sterile environment
