Job summary

ESIS is seeking a Claims Associate to manage a workers’ compensation claims desk in a dynamic, risk-management environment. This temp-to-hire role offers hands-on experience and formal instruction to develop into a skilled workers’ compensation claims professional, with thoughtful supervision and growth in a nationwide company.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree or equivalent experience.
• Strong communication and investigative skills.
• Ability to handle claims information with care and accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Receive assignments and review claim and policy information for investigation context.
• Interview insureds, claimants, witnesses, physicians, and attorneys to obtain statements.
• Evaluate facts to determine liability and company obligation under the policy.
• Prepare investigations, settlements, denials, and evaluations of involved parties.
• Administer benefits timely and control the claims resolution process.
• Set reserves within authority and discuss changes with the Team Leader.
• Review progress with the Team Leader and discuss remedial actions.
• Assist in developing methods to handle claims and improve processes.
• Settle claims promptly and equitably and obtain releases or proofs of loss.
