Job summary

Elite Staffing, Inc. is seeking a Purchasing Coordinator for our sheet metal manufacturing environment. You will manage material purchasing, vendor coordination, process purchase orders, obtain quotes, and track orders, pricing, lead times and deliveries.

You will collaborate with Production and Engineering to align material needs and address shortages. This on-site role in Des Plaines, IL (60016) runs 7:30am–4:00pm, with a temporary-to-hire path and a pay range of $21–$23 per hour.

Qualifications

• 2+ years purchasing/manufacturing experience preferred.
• Sheet metal/fabrication experience a plus.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office; ERP experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Process purchase orders and obtain vendor quotes.
• Purchase sheet metal, hardware, supplies, and outside services.
• Track orders, pricing, lead times, and deliveries.
• Coordinate material requirements with Production and Engineering.
• Follow up on shortages, delays, and backorders.
• Maintain accurate purchasing and vendor records.
• Assist with inventory and material planning.
