Job summary

Ledgent, Inc. is partnering with a growing organization to recruit a Staff Accountant for a temporary, 3-5 month assignment beginning mid-December.

The role focuses on month-end close, journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting financial reporting in a fast-paced environment. You will assist with audits, vendor setup in ERP (NetSuite preferred), and drive process improvements while maintaining accuracy and internal controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
• 3+ years of corporate general ledger accounting experience.
• Strong understanding of month-end close processes.
• Experience with journal entries, reconciliations, and accruals.
• Intermediate Excel skills (formulas, lookup, sort, filter).
• Knowledge of US GAAP and financial reporting principles.
• ERP experience preferred; NetSuite experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support month-end close activities including journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations.
• Prepare supporting schedules and documentation for financial reporting.
• Assist with year-end audit requests and inquiries.
• Review and support vendor setup processes within the ERP system.
• Help improve accounting processes, workflows, and internal controls.
• Perform ad hoc accounting and financial analysis projects.
