The College of Nursing at University of Tennessee, Knoxville is seeking a temporary Simulation Lab Assistant for 20 hours per week in Knoxville, TN. You will ensure smooth operation of the Skills Learning and High‑Fidelity Labs, prepare/restock equipment, and assist in setting up immersive simulations.

You will also support faculty at session starts, maintain lab organization, and help with setup and breakdown of high‑fidelity learning experiences, while supervising student assistants.

Qualifications

  • Required certifications include EMT, LPN, RN or CNA.
  • 1+ years of hospital or acute care inpatient care experience.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise student simulation lab assistants.

Job Description

The College of Nursing (CON) seeks a temporary Simulation Lab Assistant 20 hours a week to directly contribute to the education of future nurses. In this hands-on role, you'll be responsible for the seamless operation of our Skills Learning and High-Fidelity Labs. This includes preparing and restocking equipment and supplies, guiding faculty at the start of sessions, maintaining lab organization, and providing crucial support for the setup and breakdown of immersive high-fidelity learning experiences.

Qualifications
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • One of the following certifications: EMT; LPN; RN; Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
  • 1+ years' experience in hospital or acute care inpatient care
Preferred Qualifications
  • Associate’s degree in related field
  • Experience working in medical/nursing learning labs
Work Location

Knoxville, TN – onsite.

Compensation
  • UT market range: MR06
  • Anticipated hiring range: $20.00/hr – $22.00/hr
