Job summary

Securitas US Business Unit is hiring Security Officers for multiple shifts at various Reno locations. Open interviews are held weekly with flexible full-time or part-time opportunities. Expect to perform patrols, monitor for hazards, de-escalate situations, and provide excellent customer service to clients and visitors.

Candidates should bring two IDs and a resume; training is provided. The role offers competitive hourly pay and a benefits package, including paid training and uniforms.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 18+ years old and eligible to work in the U.S.
• Excellent customer service and teamwork skills required.
• Willing to participate in pre-employment screening including drug test and background check.

Responsibilities

• Resolve conflicts and de-escalate when needed.
• Interact with client employees and guests regularly.
• Identify and report safety issues or suspicious activity.
• Ensure post orders are followed and rounds completed.
• Provide information and assistance to employees and guests.
• Operate technology devices used during shifts.
• Conduct property tours and patrols in various conditions.
• Prepare reports as required and work with team to meet site goals.

What You Can Expect:

• Conflict resolution and de-escalation.
• Frequent interactions with client employees and guests.
• Identify and report safety issues, hazardous conditions, or any suspicious activity.

• Provide customer service and information to theclient’s employees and guests.
• Utilizing technology devices throughout shift.
• Conduct tours of the property.
• Conduct patrols inside / outside the client’s premises, potentially in various weather conditions and in different types of terrain.
• Report writing.
• Work in a team environment to ensure site / organizational goals are achieved daily.
• Carry out specific tasks and duties of similar nature and scope as required for assigned site.

Basic Requirements:

• 18 years of age or older.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Above average computer / technology skills needed.
• Security, Law Enforcement, or Military experience a plus.
• Excellent customer service and team leadership skills needed.
• Must be able to work independently.
• Must be able to remain calm and professional during stressful situations.
• Must have great attention to detail and remain vigilant throughout shift.
• Must have a professional demeanor.
• Must be able to respond to emergencies with rapid / effective judgment and use appropriate escalation.
• All candidates must be willing to participate in the Company’s pre-employment screening process, including drug screen and background investigation.
