Kitsap Mental Health Services (KMHS) is hiring a Master’s-level School-Based Therapist or Bachelor’s-level Behavioral Health Counselor for a temporary on-site role under the SHIELD program. The position focuses on delivering behavioral health services to students and coordinating care with families, educators, and community partners.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in psychology, social services, or behavioral health field required.
• Minimum 2 years of job-related experience for MA-level Therapist position; 3 years for BA-level Behavioral Health Counselor.
• Experience working with children in an intensive milieu-based program.

Responsabilités

• Meet with students to assess needs, make referrals, and coordinate care with community partners.
• Conduct intakes and assessments to support treatment planning and progress monitoring.
• Provide brief and trauma-focused therapy, including crisis intervention.
• Deliver individual, family, and group counseling; organize therapeutic groups.
• Develop, implement, and revise treatment plans in collaboration with staff.
• Collaborate with school personnel to support treatment goals and student success.
• Coordinate care with outside providers and serve as liaison to families.
