The School of Nursing at Columbia University in the City of New York is seeking a Non student research worker to support participant recruitment and qualitative research activities for an ambient documentation study in nursing. You will interact with clinician participants and assist with interviews under Dr.

Turchioe's funded program. The role is grant-funded, with responsibilities spanning recruitment, data collection coordination, interview facilitation, data tracking, and initial coding,

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in a graduate program (MS or PhD) in nursing, public health, social work, health education, or related field.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and follow-through.
  • Professional demeanor and ability to maintain confidentiality.

Responsibilities

  • Recruiting and screening potential study participants from nursing and medicine.
  • Scheduling and coordinating data collection and qualitative research sessions.
  • Facilitating or co-facilitating qualitative interview sessions with the PI.
  • Managing participant tracking databases and study documentation.
  • Assisting with quantitative and qualitative data collection and initial coding/transcription.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.
