University of Louisville seeks a Temporary Research Assistant to support the Price Institute of Surgical Research in studying colorectal cancer and inflammatory bowel disease. The role involves assisting researchers under supervision to perform routine and non-routine experiments, including RNA/protein work, data transcription and analysis.

Preferred candidates hold a Bachelor's in a related science and can contribute to literature reviews and manuscript preparation.

Formación

• 3 or more years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Bachelor's degree in a related field of science.
• Assists in routine and non-routine experiments including RNA and protein extractions, PCR, and basic biochemical tests.

Responsabilidades

• Aid in the performance of routine and non-routine experiments; moderate scope.
• Transcribe and analyze data.
• Maintain long-term tissue cultures of rodent or human cell lines and monitor viability and contamination.
• Perform literature searches and help prepare presentations or publications.
• All other duties as assigned.
