Job Description

The Registered Nurse provides direct patient care using the nursing process, including assessment, intervention, and evaluation of patient responses. The RN acts as a team leader/member, delegating and supervising support staff, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to establish patient goals and outcomes. The role involves ensuring the needs of diverse patient populations are met.

Responsibilities

1. Assessment and Care: Regularly assesses patient needs and provides skilled nursing services according to physician-approved care plans and evidence-based standards.
2. Direct Patient Care: Administers medications, performs treatments, educates patients, responds to call lights, assists with transfers, and responds to alarms.
3. Evaluation and Collaboration: Evaluates treatment effectiveness, suggests updates to care plans, and collaborates with team members using current information to enhance patient care.
4. Compliance: Maintains knowledge of and adheres to all applicable regulations, guidelines, policies, and procedures.
