The City and Borough of Sitka is seeking staff to join the Parks and Recreation team to plan, coordinate, and supervise after-school, weekend, and summer recreation, sports, and community education activities for Sitka residents.

In this role you will work as part of a team, support instructors and lead staff, assist with setup, equipment handling, and program logistics to ensure safe, engaging activities for the community.

Aufgaben

• Assisting the lead Parks and Recreation staff and instructors with day-to-day tasks, programming needs, and birthday events
• Helping to set up Parent-Tot-Times, Open Gyms, passing out skates, Open Rec Activities
• Assisting with sports equipment and activity distribution/clean-up with volleyball nets, ping-pong tables, board games, bikes, and balls
• Helping to move tables, chairs, and signage

Jobbeschreibung

The primary function of this position is to work as a member of a team to plan, coordinate, schedule and provide onsite supervision and scheduling for recreation, sports, and community education programs for Sitka residents.

Working hours after school and weekends, daytime hours during summer break.
