Job summary

U.S. Sugar in Clewiston, FL seeks a Temp Raw Sugar Warehouse Operator to run the VHP dryer, sugar handling systems, and loaders in a 24/7 facility. You will perform inspections and maintenance, operate dump trucks and pay loaders, and ensure safe, efficient storage of bulk sugar.

Safety and quality are paramount; candidates must pass drug testing and obtain required certifications. This role reports to the Shift Manager and supports continuous operations in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older with a clean disciplinary history.
• Able to read, write and speak English to understand instructions and communicate safely.
• Must have been employed full-time for at least 12 months in the past 5 years operating heavy equipment.
• Must obtain skid-steer, forklift and boomlift certification within 30 days of hire.
• Must be in good health and physically able to perform all job functions.

Responsibilities

• Operate the VHP dryer to meet product quality specs.
• Operate sugar scales and conveyors to transfer sugar to/from warehouses.
• Drive articulated dump trucks and pay loaders to load, transport and stack sugar.
• Perform routine inspections, maintenance, and minor repairs as needed.
• Maintain clean, organized, and hazard-free work areas and report issues promptly.
