Job summary

G-III Apparel Group is seeking a Temporary Product Development Manager for Women’s Ready-To-Wear in New York City, on-site. This 3-4 month assignment involves coordinating materials, samples, costing, and product information across the development cycle.

The role partners with Design, Merchandising, Fabric R&D, Technical Design, Production and overseas teams to maintain timelines and execute the design vision while managing PLM data and development costs.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in apparel product development.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Collaborative approach across multiple teams and priorities.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.

Responsibilities

• Execute daily priorities, drive task completion, resolve issues affecting timelines.
• Prepare and send development packages to overseas partners and communicate daily.
• Track material and sample requests, approvals, and milestones.
• Maintain design cards, development logs, and PLM information with accuracy.
• Review samples for alignment with design aesthetics and flag discrepancies.
• Manage development costs, final costs, and monthly PO costs; review cost sheets.
