Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous phlebotomy experience preferred, willing to train the right candidate.
• Current BLS certification and driver license required.
• Required to become certified as drug and alcohol collector.
• Must successfully complete phlebotomy and lab competencies.
• Previous healthcare office experience preferred.
• Strong customer service and computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Provides phlebotomy services and selected lab procedures to patients as requested
• Collect and handle specimens using universal precautions
• Maintain records, assist with lab charges, and support clerical tasks
• Maintain security and confidentiality of patient health information
• Perform clerical functions as delegated
