Job summary

Vanderbilt Health is seeking a Temporary Pharmacy Technician for the Retail Support Group Pharmacy. The role supports pharmacists in preparation, dispensing and distribution of medications, handles customer calls, data entry, and inventory control in a onsite office setting.

Hours are Monday–Friday, 8:30am–5:00pm. TN Pharmacy Technician license within 90 days of hire is required. Retail pharmacy experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved pharmacy technician program.
• Tennessee Pharmacy Technician license within 90 days of hire.
• Less than 1 year of relevant work experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists the pharmacist in preparation, dispensing and/or distribution of medications.
• Applies departmental inventory control processes.
• Performs duties as directed by Pharmacists/Pharmacy Managers in line with laws and hospital policies.
• Delivers outstanding customer service to internal and external customers.
• Operates computer systems and utilizes technology.
• Additional duties may be assigned.
