Job summary

UNC-Chapel Hill is seeking a Temporary Study Coordinator to independently manage oncology clinical trials, from activation to closeout, coordinating with investigators, staff, sponsors, and clinical teams.

The role requires direct patient interaction, regulatory compliance, and data management across UNC Medical Center and satellite clinics, with occasional evening or weekend work. A related bachelor’s degree and clinical trial experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in related scientific, healthcare, or research discipline and one year of relevant experience.
• Experience in oncology clinical trials and coordinating complex studies is preferred.
• Knowledge of ICH GCP, federal regulations, and clinical protocols; SOCRA/ACRP certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate multiple oncology clinical trials from startup through closeout.
• Identify, recruit, and enroll eligible participants; conduct informed consent discussions.
• Enter study data into electronic data capture systems and maintain source documents.
• Coordinate collection, processing, storage, and shipment of biospecimens and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Support monitoring visits, audits, and protocol deviations; ensure data accuracy and timelines.
• Work onsite at UNC Medical Center, UNC Chapel Hill, and affiliated clinics; occasional evenings or weekends may be required.
