Job summary

Technical Safety Services in Sunnyvale, CA seeks a Metrology Technician I to perform equipment calibration and maintenance, primarily in-house, with administrative tasks for the calibration lab and records.

The role supports ISO-17025 accredited services, coordinates with regional staff and vendors, and helps expand calibration capabilities. Requires 2 years of relevant experience and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent. 2-year or 4-year degree preferred.
• Requires 2 years of relevant experience, including customer service, mechanical, and/or electrical experience.
• Maintain a valid driver's license.
• A combination of education, training and related experience may meet requirements.

Responsibilities

• Maintain equipment inventory and interface with process stakeholders.
• Coordinate equipment transfer with regional operations staff and clients.
• Develop and support future calibration capabilities.
• Communicate with vendors to facilitate external calibrations and repairs.
• Support ISO-17025 accredited services including uncertainty analysis.
• Maintain ISO 17025 training via Interlaboratory Comparisons / Proficiency Tests (ILC/PTs).
• Calibrate in-house equipment including lightmeters, sound level meters, temperature/humidity instrumentation, and more.
