Position Overview
Digital Dynamics Inc. (DDI) is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Material Handler I to support receiving, inventory, kitting, material movement, and overall production flow within our electronics manufacturing environment.
This position is responsible for assisting with the accurate receipt, storage, picking, and movement of materials while following established inventory and material-handling procedures. The ideal candidate is organized, reliable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive, verify, and properly store incoming materials and components.
- Pick and kit materials according to production requirements and work orders.
- Deliver materials to designated production and work areas in a timely manner.
- Perform basic inventory and material movement transactions within the ERP system.
- Maintain accurate material locations, labeling, and identification.
- Assist with cycle counts and physical inventory activities.
- Report inventory discrepancies, shortages, or damaged materials to the appropriate team member or supervisor.
- Process material returns and transfers according to established procedures.
- Follow established procedures for handling electronic components and production materials.
- Use RF scanners and other inventory-tracking tools as required.
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe stockroom and material storage areas.
- Work with Production, Planning, Purchasing, Quality, and other departments as needed to support material requirements.
- Follow company safety, quality, and inventory-control procedures.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous warehouse, stockroom, inventory, shipping/receiving, or material-handling experience preferred.
- Manufacturing or electronics industry experience is a plus.
- Basic computer skills and ability to learn ERP/MRP systems.
- SAP or other ERP system experience is a plus but not required.
- Experience with RF scanners or inventory-tracking equipment is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Willingness and ability to learn inventory and material-handling processes.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift.
- Ability to bend, reach, lift, push and pull materials as required.
- Ability to safely use material-handling equipment after appropriate training.
Work Environment
This position works primarily in a manufacturing, production, and stockroom environment and requires regular interaction with Production and other operational departments.
