Job summary

Round Mountain mine in Nevada, part of Kinross Gold, is seeking a temporary Leach Pads operator in the Ore Processing department. Training available to advance within the department, aligning daily tasks with Kinross values.

This open-pit operation requires physical work, operating loaders and dozers, and adherence to safety and environmental policies. The role emphasizes reliability, teamwork, and contributing to plant performance.

Qualifications

Walk rough terrain and climb stairs, catwalks, and pads.
Shovel material on the leach pads.
Lift up to 50 lbs frequently.
Work at heights and in adverse weather.
Willing to train on other equipment.
Experience operating small front end loaders and dozers.
Experience on leach pads is preferred.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Understanding of mining operations; milling and maintenance knowledge helpful.
Proficient PC skills (word processing, spreadsheets, databases, presentations).
Strong verbal and written communication; interacts with all levels.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong administrative and organizational writing skills.
Full-time US work authorization required.
Valid driver's license required.

Responsibilities

Clean up material on leach pads, ditches and solution ponds.
Operate small front end loaders, and dozers.
Comply with all company policies including safety, environmental, confidentiality and code of conduct.
Meets or exceeds established performance expectations set by management.
Exercising discretion and judgment in job performance.
Works without risk or harm to self and others.
Punctuality and regular attendance required.
Helps develop other department personnel to perform duties listed above.
Performs other related functions as assigned by supervisor.
