Job summary

Kinross Gold Corporation in Nevada is seeking an Ore Processing Operator to support the Mill, Crusher or ADR plant areas, depending on experience. You will perform general clean up, operate small front-end loaders or forklifts, and monitor plant processes in a safety-conscious role.

The job requires physical fitness, ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and willingness to train on other equipment. You will work within the Ore Processing department under supervision and contribute to Kinross’ safety

Qualifications

• Ability to walk up, down and over rough terrain as well as climb stairways, catwalks, liner and pads.
• Ability to shovel up material.
• Ability to lift & carry up to 50 lbs. frequently throughout the day.

• Previous experience operating small front-end loaders, dozers, and lifting equipment is preferred.
• Previous operator or labor experience is preferred.
• Possesses good communication and interpersonal skills.
• General understanding of mining operations, as well as limited understanding of leaching, crushing, milling, and maintenance operations.
• Basic computer and technology skills.
• Strong verbal, written, analytical, and persuasive skills and the ability to interact effectively with all levels of employees and management.
• Ability to work independently and also as a member of the management team.
• Punctuality and regular attendance required.
• Must be 18 years old and presently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
• Requires valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Will be required to learn the area they are assigned to which may include: Fill out system check sheets, monitor reagent levels, and assist in all areas.
• Pad layout & drip line installation on the Leach Pads.
• Operate Crushing, Milling and ADR facilities.
• Works without risk or harm to self and others.
• Perform other related functions as assigned by supervisor.

Round Mountain is an open-pit mine located in Nevada, one of the best mining jurisdictions in the world. The mine uses conventional open-pit mining methods and processes ore by mill and heap leach. Job Summary

This job is to work in the Ore Processing department. This position will require training up to higher levels throughout the department as necessary while continuously aligning daily functions to reflect Kinross’ values. This will be a position in the Mill, Crusher or ADR plant areas depending on operator’s experience.
