Job summary

River Point Behavioral Health, a River Point Behavioral Health facility in Jacksonville, FL, seeks staff to provide patient care within a 24/7 behavioral health setting. The role emphasizes a therapeutic relationship, safety, and active participation in treatment teams across ages from preschool to adults.

Qualified candidates have a high school degree; CNA preferred; degrees in social work or related therapies are highly desirable. Weekend/overtime flexibility may be required.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Degree or equivalent; CNA preferred; degree in social work or therapeutic discipline desirable.
• Experience: Two years in related psychiatric patient care preferred.
• MHA's may be required to work weekends, overtime and have flexible hours.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a therapeutic relationship with patients and assist in maintaining a safe, therapeutic environment.
• Provide continuous patient care as part of the treatment team; supervise, interact and role-model for patients.
• Care duties for patients aged preschool through adults as part of the health and safety program.

Responsibilities

Flat rate premium rate per hour $21

This position serves as an active member of the clinical staff; maintains a therapeutic relationship with all patients; assists in maintenance of a safe, clean, therapeutic environment; assures patient participation in program activities; and performs technical/patient care duties relative to patient's health and safety. This position functions as an active part of the treatment team, providing continuous patient care, supervision, interaction and role modeling to patients ranging in ages from preschool through adults.

Requirements

• Education: High School Degree or equivalent required; Certified Nursing Assistant preferred; Degree from an accredited college or university in social work, recreational therapy or appropriate therapeutic discipline highly desirable.
• Experience: Two (2) years of related experience, with knowledge of psychiatric patient care techniques with understanding of mental illness, preferred.
• Additional Requirements: MHA’s may be required to work weekends, overtime and have flexible hours.
