Universal Health Services, River Point Behavioral Health in Jacksonville, FL, seeks a TEMP FT Mental Health Associate to join the clinical staff and support patient care from preschool through adulthood while maintaining a safe, therapeutic environment and promoting participation in program activities.

The role is integrated into the treatment team, providing continuous patient care, supervision, interaction and role modeling.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent required; CNA preferred; related degrees desirable.
• 2 years related experience in psychiatric patient care preferred.
• Weekend/overtime flexibility may be required.

We are pleased to announce the following available position: TEMP FT MENTAL HEALTH ASSOCIATE

Flat rate premium rate per hour $21

This position serves as an active member of the clinical staff; maintains a therapeutic relationship with all patients; assists in maintenance of a safe, clean, therapeutic environment; assures patient participation in program activities; and performs technical/patient care duties relative to patient's health and safety. This position functions as an active part of the treatment team, providing continuous patient care, supervision, interaction and role modeling to patients ranging in ages from preschool through adults.

Qualifications

Requirements:

• Education: High School Degree or equivalent required; Certified Nursing Assistant preferred; Degree from an accredited college or university in social work, recreational therapy or appropriate therapeutic discipline highly desirable.
• Experience: Two (2) years of related experience, with knowledge of psychiatric patient care techniques with understanding of mental illness, preferred.
• Additional Requirements: MHA's may be required to work weekends, overtime and have flexible hours.
