Job summary

SAMSON Controls Inc. is seeking a Field Service Technician (Temporary) in Baytown, TX to support the service team with maintenance, diagnostics, and field operations on SAMSON valves and related equipment.

The role provides hands-on valve repair, disassembly, testing, documentation, and collaboration with customers and shop personnel. This is a temporary, part-time assignment expected to last about three to six months.

Qualifications

Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Proficiency with computers including MS Office (Excel/Outlook) and online work tools.
Ability to document repair, testing, and assembly activities clearly.

Responsibilities

Disassemble, clean, inspect, measure, reassemble, and test valves at Samson facilities.
Maintenance, calibration, installation, fault diagnosis, and repair of electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic instruments and systems.
Plan, organize and prioritize tasks; coordinate work with teammates.
Communicate with customers for technical assistance and troubleshooting, determine disposition of repairs.
Document repair/testing/assembly activities including cause of failure, actions taken, parts used, and labor hours.
Assist with sourcing parts and with shipping of spare parts, valves, and tools.
Assist with shop/field shipments preparation and material handling.
