Document Scanning & File Management Specialist (Temporary)

Position Type: Temporary (2-3 Month Project)
Pay Rate: $28.00/hour
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM (1-hour lunch)
Work Environment: 100% On-Site

Position Summary

Deschutes County is seeking two temporary employees to assist with a personnel records digitization project. This project involves converting paper personnel files into electronic records while maintaining organization, accuracy, and confidentiality. One associate will focus on scanning documents and preparing completed files for storage, while the other will focus on electronic file creation, organization, and document management. Qualified associates may have the opportunity to assist with both functions throughout the project.

Key Responsibilities
  • Scan and digitize personnel files while ensuring document quality and accuracy.
  • Create, organize, and maintain electronic folders, records, and file naming conventions.
  • Sort, upload, and securely manage confidential documents within the electronic filing system.
Skills Required

  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail
