Job summary

Michigan State University is seeking a temporary Laborer to join a dynamic custodial team. You will work in a variety of routine manual labor areas at the Breslin Center and other campus buildings, ensuring clean, safe facilities. The role requires in-person attendance and a varied schedule including days, late nights, and weekends for university events.

Pay rate is $19.95 - $21.00 with probationary period requirements. Employment ends by May.

Responsibilities

• 40% - Cleaning including restrooms, arena seating, sweeping/dusting and mopping floors; refurbishing, repairing, and occasional painting of equipment; receiving and storing supplies.
• 25% - Collecting recyclables and trash; outdoor debris removal; assist with landscaping as needed.
• 15% - Event set-up and tear down.
• 10% - Snow removal.
• 10% - Email correspondence, training, meetings and professional development.
