Job summary

Penske Logistics in Groveport, Ohio is seeking warehouse associates to join an excellent team. This role is ideal for safety-conscious individuals with a pleasant, outgoing attitude who want to excel in a warehouse environment and contribute to accurate picking, packing and inventory control.

We offer a competitive wage of $21.12 per hour and a robust benefits package, including Paid Time Off, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, a 401K plan, plus a $125 boot allowance after 90 days.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Proficient reading skills and ability to follow directions required.
• Ability to work independently, customer service, multi-tasking, organizational skills, time management, and flexibility required.
• Flexible to work overtime preferred.
• Ability to work in non-climate-controlled conditions.

Responsibilities

• Picking/packing parts accurately to ensure accuracy and prevent damage.
• Physically and systematically placing inbound freight and organizing inventory.
• Report product discrepancies/variances of over/under amounts and damaged product.
• Operate equipment: Reach Truck, Pallet Jack, Cherry Picker/Stock Chaser.
• Follow all safety requirements and maintain a clean work area.
• Stage and sort products for loading and Opens/closes dock doors.

Monday- Friday: 7:00am - 3:30pm

Occasional Saturdays and OT as required

Job Responsibilities:

• Picking/packing parts in a manner to ensure accuracy and prevent damage – at times process may deviate
• Physically and systematically placing inbound freight – at times process may deviate
• Report product discrepancies/variances of over/under amounts and damaged product
• Conduct searches in order to locate misclassified inventory
• Escalates issues timely and directly to supervisor
• Have the ability to operate the following pieces of equipment:
  • Reach Truck Operator
  • Pallet Jack (electrical or manual)
  • Cherry Picker /Stock Chaser
• Accurately match numbers & letters
• Follow all safety requirements
• Stage and sort products for loading
• Opens and closes dock doors
• Maintain a clean and safe work area
• Sorts and places parts in racks or other designated areas
• Stacks cardboard boxes and pallets
• Move materials within the warehouse
• Scanning & counting parts
• Completes all other duties as assigned by Supervisor

Qualifications:

• No prior warehouse experience required but preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Proficient reading skills and ability to follow directions required
• Ability to work independently, customer service, dealing with others, multi-tasking skills, organizational skills, flexible, excellent with numbers and time management skills required
• Flexible to work overtime preferred
• Ability to work in non-climate-controlled conditions required
• Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job
• Willingness to work the required schedule, work at the specific location required
• Complete a Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation (to include past employment, education, and criminal history) and drug screening required.
