Job summary

Penske Logistics is hiring warehouse associates in Groveport, OH. We value safety-conscious, outgoing individuals who want to excel in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

Pay rate is $21.12 per hour with a Monday–Friday 7:00am–3:30pm schedule and occasional Saturdays with OT as required. Benefits include PTO, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 401K, boot allowance after 90 days, and associate discounts.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Pick/pack parts accurately to prevent damage.
• Move inbound and outbound freight safely and efficiently.
• Report discrepancies and damaged products.
• Operate reach truck, pallet jack, and cherry picker as trained.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and follow all safety guidelines.

Job Responsibilities:

• Picking/packing parts in a manner to ensure accuracy and prevent damage – at times process may deviate
• Physically and systematically placing inbound freight – at times process may deviate
• Report product discrepancies/variances of over/under amounts and damaged product
• Conduct searches in order to locate misclassified inventory
• Escalates issues timely and directly to supervisor
• Have the ability to operate the following pieces of equipment:
• Reach Truck Operator
• Pallet Jack (electrical or manual)
• Cherry Picker /Stock Chaser
• Accurately match numbers & letters
• Follow all safety requirements
• Stage and sort products for loading
• Opens and closes dock doors
• Maintain a clean and safe work area
• Sorts and places parts in racks or other designated areas
• Stacks cardboard boxes and pallets
• Move materials within the warehouse
• Scanning & counting parts
• Completes all other duties as assigned by Supervisor

Qualifications:

• Preference will be given to applicants with prior forklift experience
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Proficient reading skills and ability to follow directions required
• Ability to work independently, customer service, dealing with others, multi-tasking skills, organizational skills, flexible, excellent with numbers and time management skills required
• Flexible to work overtime preferred
• Ability to work in non-climate-controlled conditions required
• Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job

• Willingness to work the required schedule, work at the specific location required
• Complete a Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation (to include past employment, education, and criminal history) and drug screening required.
